Valuable drawing technique because it presents drawing portraits from an entirely different angle than the traditional approach and uses a lot less erasing which will do

Here is step number three. I start to connct some of the dots. If too many dots are put down without starting to connct them somewhat then it can get confusing. I would like to add at this point that I usually make the dots very lightly with a pencil so that I can erase the extra ones and so that the rest will become part of the lines. The lines will later on become borders of light and shadow, with the eventual objective of making them disapear into parts of the picture. In this case I am making the dots with a black gel ink pen so that they will scan and also so you can see them better. (See Photo)
