Valuable drawing technique because it presents drawing portraits from an entirely different angle than the traditional approach and uses a lot less erasing which will do

Here is step six.

I am off on the chin (it is not centered with the mouth) and I will adjust that next, but in this lastest one I started putting shadows in. It is a little difficult to tell because of the limitations of the scanner but you can see a little bit of it. I will darken them up as I go along and you will see them better later. I changed the shape of the nose and the eyebrows, and I also drew in some eyelashes. I am assuming that the curls are the part of the hair which is catching the light, while the rest of the hair will be mostly darker. Notice that the hairline is uneven. I drew it like this to make it look more natural and like it is growing out of the skull. Sometimes hair can look like a wig if you're not careful. In my drawing "eight of hearts" above, the hair likes kind of fake, but i drew that one about 8 years ago, and I think that is one of the things that I have improved on. (See Photo)
