How do you find work?

Tell me, how do you find work in the art world?

As a freelance illustrator, I know how hard it is to find work in the art world, but there are so many of us out there that do it every day. As I was trolling for work today I wondered, "Does everyone get work the way I do?"

I'm sure I'm not the only one that's curious, so, tell me, how do you do it?
