I was reading an interesting article called Bohemian Today, High-rent Tomorrow and it just floored me.
According to the article, the more artists live in a city, the more prosperous it will be. One of the reasons the article lists that many artists are "starving artists" and are forced to live in low income areas. Using their creativity, these supposed starving artists use their creativity to spruce up the neighborhood, making property prices rise. Seems a little far fetched to me, but the article goes on to list the best places for artists to live. They based their listing on the concentration of artists already living there and affordable housing. Toping this list is Los Angeles, Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Carson City, Nevada.
Take a look and see what you think.
