Hello,
Welcome to day one of our Spring Into Ideas blog series. Let’s get to the tips!
Let’s do some spring cleaning. Go back through the sketches, drawings, and painting that you have done in the past. Which ones are you proud of? Which ones could use work? Could you fix the ones that are lack luster? Could you paint it again in a new medium? Draw it instead of paint it or visa versa?
Get in touch with nature. Even if you live in a place where it’s still cold, go outside and record what you see. No matter what it is, make a quick drawing of it. When Summer comes, you can go back to this spot and note the change.
Grow in your art. Brows through our articles here at Painting/Drawing and learn something you didn’t know.
Remember Spring Break, Easter, and Passover holidays past and think of one item that symbolizes that memory. It could be that first bikini, an Easter egg that came out just right, or the lamb roast your mother cooked. Now compose a composition that includes that item.
Come back tomorrow for more creative springtime ideas.
