My mother was an avid Artist's Magazine reader and she handed down all her back issues to me. I also subscribed to AM for many years. I have a stack of them that is knee-high. And you know what? Sure, it's wonderful looking at all the beautiful art work and such, but after the years went by the articles started to look the same. Know why? Because they were. I had read the same magazine for over a decade. Of course it was all going to come around again. It was time to stop reading and start putting to use all those tips!
My tip? Take a close look at all the art magazines, newsletter, and websites you subscribe to and cut back on what you're not really learning from and use that time to create!
And if Painting/Drawing at Suite 101 is one of those publications, let me know! Use the discussion area to tell me what you need and want!
